This generally means support for fork / exec system calls. The ability to have multiple process (from the same or from different executables) run in the same unikernel image (and address space).

unikraft PR 1386 is now under review and will be merged soon. It is a first step towards that, adding vfork and execve support.

Hi @lifeiscontent we're making steady progress towards open-sourcing all the components necessary for running Postgres unmodified on Unikraft.

The PR which Razvan has mentioned has now been merged which laid out the first initial ground work. We're still in the process of finalizing additional kernel-level changes such that they are ready for open-source use. At a high-level, this is estimated to be available within Q1 or early Q2 this year.

@nderjung As I see that v0.19 introduced multi process applications and v0.20 improved upon it, how is the timeline for running postgres now, rather what are the blockers currently faced by unikraft?
