Cast Head Shots and Position.

Hi @CodyBerenson for making such an awesome agent. I have spent countless house getting every scene and movie exact. One area I'm struggling is getting Cast photos and positions to show. I don't know what setting I don't have correct but it seems to not work on any movie I have at the moment. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure if the IAFD Error 403 is the culpret. I notice that is on all the movies.

@ShieldsUP78 Greetings, and I hope this finds you well. Yes, IAFD has strengthened and re-strengthened their scraping protection to render our IAFD scraping inoperable. 3rd party tools (e.g., AdultMediaManager) that offer IAFD as a scraper similarly do not work. Here's the work around I use:

1. I properly title the film or scene to match our GEVI agents
2. In the same folder, I include a .nfo file (named EXACTLY as the movie) in which I have hand copied Cast URL Links from IAFD and positions.
3. In my agents, for films for example, I only include our NFOImporter and our GEVI IN THAT ORDER along with Plex's local media assets
4. When I scan, the NFOImporter will first import import the the cast names, images, and positions, and then the GEVI agent scrape all the rest.

Plex auto adds a number to repeated positions, but for me, it is a small price to pay. Perhaps someone knows a workaround for that.

Thanks for that. I think that's the best anyone can do right now until someone figures out a way to scrap them from IAFD.

I see your using the local option with the tag in the nfo file. I've done something similar using the global option for actor thumbs and then hosting my own images on a web server. I like the option of the agent combining the name tag into an image name FirstName_LastName,jpg, plus it gives me away to add images that IAFD doesn't have.

But have you or anyone else ever gotten the NFO Importer local option to work? I think that would allow one to put the images into an actors folder somewhere on the Plex server. It would be nice to get rid of the web server altogether.

That might be another option for people using the NFO Importer, but I've never figured out exactly where and how
to make the local option work.

Jellyfin functionality. Not Plex. Also, keep in mind Plex has announced that they intend to eliminate 3rd party agents....

Plex has hinted that they will add nfo support when they do that, along with vague promises of a new API.

Still that's a clever way to use both the NFO and GEVI agent.

Thanks Cody for the help and advice on how to overcome. I think I'll need to move all of my movies in their folders now. I don't have that at the moment.
